Week 1

Topic : Negative Number Concept

Observation :
1) Every concept no matter how easy or difficult it is, needs some time to assimilate. Every student forms bridges in his head for concept to be constructed in a better way. If we go too fast or too slow, we will confuse a child
2) The more you correlate the subject with his day to day life, the more we find his involvement.
3) Never speak monotonously, Always keep sentences half complete, and let them complete the rest of it. Because we don't need to learn, it is they who need to learn.
4) After every 10-15 min, tell them an intersting story or activity and tell a child to come on the board, this will keep them awake and involved.
5) The lesser the class strength the better the result in terms of involvement, 1 Teacher is to 5 students should be the ratio till 6th, followed by 1 Teacher is to 10 students till 8th.
6) Building a concept requires
    a)Familiarization with words.
    b) Very strong linkage with natural structures around us because brain's way of working is by creating a chained structure. So If you create the bond with things close to child which he has seen, felt or has strong part in his memory like place he stayed, he will remember and retain it better. Student's retain well, when they are able to associate concepts.

1. No one can take place of a teacher in terms of contantly getting feedback and intuitively switching path. In terms of totallity of experience, a human touch is must.

3. Pre-Exam and Post-Exam everyday can actually make teaching system very conducive, for example, if student don't score well in a perticular section of pretest, teacher understand's that these are the things to be worked upon today.
